Clos Fourtet

The Clos Fourtet vineyards covers 20 hectares (49 acres) proudly overlooking the famous limestone and clay plateau which is home to the greatest wine of Saint-Emilion. Great wines, in fact, are inextricably linked to great terroirs.
Here the plots of wines stretch down from the top of the plateau until they meet, to the north, the first valleys, where the soil is a subtle mixture of ancient sands containing traces of limestone deposits. The wine roots are fed with just the right amount of water and minerals as and when they need them. This is what guarantees the finest grapes.
85% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Cabernet Franc
