This chateau has performed to a consistently high standard beginning in the 1990's. Its holdings of nearly 200 acres are adjacent to 1st Growth Mouton-Rothschild and are planted with 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 33% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Franc and 2% Petit Verdot averaging 35 years of age. Picking is by hand, followed by sorting, and fermentation takes place in a variety of vats. The chateau utilizes about 60% new oak.
