Following the great 2009 vintage, Chateau Ormes de Pez 2010 continues the line of these exceptional years which will mark the memories of the beautiful property of Saint-Estephe located on the Left Bank of the Bordeaux region.

Chateau Ormes de Pez 2010 rewards the hard work and attention that went into making this vintage. Thanks to satellite mapping carried out 8 weeks before the harvest and intra-plot cutting, the grapes were harvested at perfect ripeness with picking starting on September 28th and finishing on October 15th. At the initial stage of vinification, the phenolic richness of the grapes suggested the best for this exceptional vintage.

Resulting from a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (57%), Merlot(34%), Cabernet Franc (7%) and Petit Verdot (2%), Chateau Ormes de Pez 2010 reveals all the typicity of the great Garonne gravel terroir that gave birth to it.

On tasting, Chateau Ormes de Pez 2010 has a deep black color with garnet reflections. The intensity of the aromatic bouquet reminds from the very first moments the expression which makes the signature of the Saint-Estephe appellation. The nose reveals aromas of black fruits evoking blackcurrant, plum and ripe red fruits. The wine is full and generous on the palate, whose roundness highlights the structure of the tannins. The opulence of the vintage combines in perfect symbiosis with brilliant acidity. Full of relief and tasty, Chateau Ormes de Pez 2010 signs with brilliance a perfectly executed vintage with still beautiful years of keeping ahead of it.
