Description
2014 1er Grand Cru Classe B from Saint Emilion, Right Bank
The 2014 La Mondotte is a blend of 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc. The grapes were harvested from September 27th to October 10th. The blend results in a strong, lush but also elegant wine. The nose of this Saint-Emilion from Chateau La Mondotte offers balsamic hints quickly followed by a rich expression of black berries. The palate reveals a good structure on ample tannins, civilised on a generous fruit finish. The latter is persistent, in a fleshy wine.
