Description
An elegant Margaux red wine
Château Giscours is a 3rd Classified Growth of 1855 produced in the Margaux appellation. The 95-hectare vineyard is planted on the gravelly soils of the Garonne and sands of glacial origin. The wine is aged in French oak barrels (50% of which are new) for 12 to 15 months, depending on the vintage. The 2012 vintage blends 69% Cabernet Sauvignon, 27% Merlot and 4% Cabernet Franc.
The wines of Château Giscours are generally fine and elegant. One notes delicate and persistent aromas that reveal the typical elegance of this great Margaux. This wine can be kept for 8 to 20 years.
Attention, this comment will be brought into question over time due to the evolution of the organoleptic qualities in the wine.
