Description
A racy Grand-Cru from Saint-Emilion
Chateau Corbin Michotte is a Grand-Cru produced in the Saint-Emilion appellation on a vineyard of 7 hectares. Average age of the vines is 50 years old (one plot is more than 100 years old), and they are planted on a terroir composed of sandy loam soil, clay that is rich in iron and gravel. The vineyard produces Merlot (65%), Cabernet Franc (30%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (5%). Maturation occurs in new barrels and stainless steel vats for 18-24 months.
Chateau Corbin Michotte 2016 reveals fruity fragrances with subtle references to the wood from its maturation period. This racy wine has smooth, silky tannins. An outstanding potential for aging, this wine can be stored for up to 30 years.
