Description
A powerful and structured red wine from Haut-Medoc
Produced in the Haut-Medoc appellation, the Chateau Citran is a red wine made from a blend of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon and 50% Merlot. The vineyard covers a total area of 90 hectares on a rich in terroir composed of gravel-sandy soils resting on top of fossil-rich limestone and clay-limestone subsoils.
Showcasing a deep red color, the Chateau Citran 2004 offers complex fruity aromas that balance between the dominating blackcurrant and vanilla fragrances, and the new oaky scents. On the palate, the attack is powerful with beautiful voluminous sensations. The wine offers multiple fruity and oaky flavours with firm tannins that soften until the end. The finish has a fine length with fine aromatic persistence. Best to consume right now.
