Description
From the beginning in 1970, Cape Mentelle quickly became known for their red wines. In 1985, winemaker David Hohnen demonstrated his mastery of white wines by establishing Cloudy Bay's Sauvignon Blanc. All the while David Hohnen continued to craft a benchmark white wine in Australia, the Cape Mentelle Sauvignon Blanc Semillon blend from the Margaret River. The aim with this wine was to create a distinctive white wine that retains the fruit intensity of the two grape varieties. This clean and fresh wine, packed with minerality, shows flavors of honeysuckle and lime. The Cape Mentelle Sauvignon Blanc Semillon blend is creamy in texture with a long elegant finish.
