Description
The Bonfanti Alpha Malbec is sourced from the Terrada vineyard in the sub-region of Perdriel in the Lujan De Cuyo region of Mendoza, Argentina. Here, the beautiful property has views of the Andes Mountains and the vineyards are peppered with olive trees. The rich concentration in this wine begins in the vineyard with low yielding, eighty five year old vines. To further its complexity the wine is aged in new French oak for two years before spending another year in bottle prior to release. The wine is lush and soft showing ripe strawberry and blackberry fruit and a smooth balanced finish. From harvest to bottling, everything on this wine is done by hand.
