25/5 La Pampa Chardonnay by Bodega Del Desierto is whole cluster pressed before undergoing fermentation in stainless steel tanks. This happens within one hour of the hand picked harvest to assure wines with freshness and acidity. Once fermentation is complete, the wine ages for 3 months in French Oak. The 2009 25/5 La Pampa Chardonnay shows tinges of green in it's bright yellow color, with notes of tropical fruit, pear, and citrus on the nose. The buttery palate is balanced by structure and acidity, leaving way for a long and elegant finish. Bodega Del Desierto crafts it's Chardonnay in a style that bridges the gap between California and Burgundy by balancing oak and acidity.
