Description
Arboleda's Sauvignon Blanc is grown in the Chilhué Vineyard, which means "land of seagulls". Located closer to the Pacific Ocean, the overall climate of this vineyard is cooler than Arboleda's more inland vineyard, Las Vertientes. This translates to fresher wines with higher acidity. The schist in the soil here in the Chilhue vineyard imparts a distinct minerality to the final product. The Arboleda 2011 Sauvignon Blanc shows some green vegetal notes eclipsed with fresh lime citrus and tropical fruit. The creaminess on the palate is balanced by a zesty acidity and minerality. This dichotomy in the texture combines for a fresh, juicy, and lasting finish on the wine.
