Description
The first few things one may notice about the And Co Sauvignon Blanc are the stinking label design and crown cap. Owner Gabrielle Simmers chose the crown cap saying it "is a perfect seal, and it reflects the philosophy of using traditional methods and innovative ideas to create a beautiful daily drop". A bottle of the And Co Sauvignon blanc was displayed in the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art as part of an exhibition entitled "How wine became Modern". While this is all nice, the wine goes far beyond aesthetics. Breaking the mold of typical New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc, this wine is rich and opulent, with an almost creamy feel to the palate. The And Co Sauvignon Blanc displays notes of honeysuckle and spice along with bright citrus and a distinct minerality. The result of organically farmed, estate grown grapes, and minimal intervention in the winemaking.
