Description
Made from 80% Corvina, 15%Rondinella, and 5% Oseleta, the Allegrini Amarone della Valpolicella adheres to the thousand-year-old tradition of appassimento, or drying of the grapes before beginning fermentation. The grapes are left to dry for three months after hand harvesting, a process which lends the additional richness and concentration which are the hallmarks of great Amarone. The wine shows dark flavors and aromas of spices, chocolate, raisins and a long, persistent palate.
